Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Dome
Public Work Department (PWD)
Chennai
Project Description
The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Dome was designed and constructed by Geodesic Techniques to provide a remarkable, yet simple and modern architectural form in a creative reinterpretation of traditional south-Indian architecture. This highly visible dome structure of the parliament building has been designed to "harvest" natural light to the offices, and to reduce the heat thus saving on power for both the upper and ground floor offices, forming an integral part of the overall design.
