Geodesic Domes are a particular type of braced dome that form doubly curved shapes from skeletal structures made of triangulated linear elements arranged in 3 dimensions to ensure a very high degree of rigidity and stability.

The arrangement of the lines on the greater circle and based on the golden ratio provides very pleasing forms and optimum configuration for load distribution within the structure.
